Recently, 2 sets of 40Ton gantry tire cranes from WEIHUA KORIG CRANE successfully arrived in Yemen, a country along China’s Belt and Road Program.
They are going to serve the grain transportation and container stacking work in the Yemeni terminal under the UN food aid program for Yemen.
The 40Ton gantry tire crane is an innovative product of WEIHUA KORIG CRANE, guided by modular design theory and powered by diesel engine set, which has the features of mobility, high efficiency, light weight, low wheel pressure and high stability, and it is widely used in horizontal automated transportation of containers in terminals.
40T gantry tire crane key technical features:
1. The lifting mechanism adopts two sets of independent drive, personalized synchronous drive technology, to achieve complete synchronization of the lifting process;
2. Container spreader adopts rail-type anti-sway design, configured with panning and slewing functions, with strong adaptability;
3. The operation of the large vehicle adopts four-wheel all-wheel drive, full electric steering control, with straight, oblique, Ackerman steering function;
4. The electric control system adopts self-developed ASW module unit, which has the functions of closed-loop steering control, intelligent deviation-rectification operation, operation status monitoring, remote upgrade and maintenance.
At the beginning of 2022, the World Food Program warned that Yemen would face a terrible disaster as Yemen’s food reserves were decreasing rapidly due to prolonged war and natural disasters, and more than half of the country’s population was seriously hungry. This time, two 40T gantry tire cranes of Weihua Korig Crane will serve the food transportation and transshipment work at the Yemeni dock, helping the UN food aid operation for more than 4 million Yemenis to go smoothly.
